6.09kW grid-tie, roof-mount PV system

This roof-mount, micro-inverter-based system was sized to offset 100% of the owner’s utility bill. The home didn’t have an ideal south-facing slope on the roof, so the panels were mounted on the East and West slopes.

Years ago it might not have made financial sense to install this system, but with today’s PV prices, adding a few extra modules to compensate for the 10-15% loss from a less-than-ideal exposure still makes sense.
